Not long ago, our family moved to North Carolina. We are your neighbors. On top of all the usual problems associated with the move, there was a need to find a good dentist we could trust. The task turned out to be a tough one. Could we trust Google reviews and Yelp? Or maybe ask friends or listen to random people on the web? Would our insurance work? How could we be sure the doctor was a good one? There were more questions than answers. Finally, after rounds of research, we picked a dentist near our home. There was a problem with a tooth, so we scheduled an appointment. Long story short, it was epic fail – bad attitude, poor treatment, disastrous outcome. We were back at square one: searching online, talking to friends, browsing social networks, then analysis, comparison and an appointment with another clinic And we failed again (or was it the clinic who failed?) We were literally trying dentists with our own teeth, pun intended. We happened to get lucky in the end and find a clinic we could trust and recommend, but it took us time and a couple of teeth.
Many people move to North Carolina these days, and most of them have the same question we had, “Can anyone recommend a good dentist nearby?” It’s a hot topic in groups and chats that pops up again and again. At some point it became clear that a centralized resource was needed that would allow people to quickly find a local doctor they could trust, who would do their job well. This is how DDS Navigator was born. The idea was to create a directory of clinics operating locally, with the focus on trust. DDS Navigator is not meant to be yet another listing resource or ad space with gazillions of clinics. It is meant to be way more “personal” and community oriented. We listen to what people say. Subjective or objective, their opinion is what matters because at the end of the day, this is what helps others to get confidence and make the decision. Before getting on the website, the clinics are checked, we get acquainted with all of them in person, and we hope to get some bonus for patients who come from our website. No doubt, it’s beneficial for clinics too as they get new loyal patients. It’s a win-win situation. We count on your help and feedback to keep the resource filled and updated, and we commit to carefully selecting clinics and monitoring their ratings to ensure that dental practices and dentists you find on our website are indeed those recommended by community.
