I brought both my children in today for an exam to check for a tongue and lip tie. I was so pleased with Dr. Holman and all the admin staff. When I walked in, the first thing I noticed was their amazing waiting area. It is so welcoming and clean. Oh… and I love the fact that they have a coffee & water station. Once in the room everyone introduced themselves and then Dr. Holman came in. I was amazed that the wait was not long at all, I also loved that she listened to ask my concerns and confirmed everything I was worried about. I will definitely continue my children’s dental care with this amazing office. Thank you so much!

Typically i dont like to write negative reviews, however i really just need to speak my mind. Throughout my entire life, i have had many dental procedures done, as ive always had bad dental health. I just recently aged out of my childhood dentist office, and found Holman family dental care through a family member. I decided to try it out and was very dissapointed with the care i recieved. I went in for a standard check in/cleaning, and the staff at the front and the actual hygienists were super kind! The issues began when the actual cleaning started. The hygienist began, and started scraping my gums to the point that i was spitting out blood. Mind you, while she was cleaning my teeth, she was frequently looking up at her coworker and chatting (which i have no issue with, if she wasnt causing me pain). I typically have a pretty high pain tolerance, but i started crying from how much pain i was in, which i have never done during a dentist appointment. When the staff saw i was crying they comforted me and continued cleaning, which i appreciate, it was just the fact that she seemed distracted, and was actively scraping my gums instead of the plaque off of my teeth.
Like i said at the beginning, i really do not like being unkind, or leaving negative reviews, but i had to say something about this. I will not be returning to Holman Family Dental Care.

I like Holman Family Dental. As a stressed grad student in their final year, I appreciated the great customer service from the rep who called me. I had forgotten about my appointment (very sad because I enjoy seeing everyone at Holman) due to research, but they made sure to help me reschedule. And they were patient. Yes, I have to pay a cancellation fee (in my eyes, it’s a major inconvenience that I missed my appointment), but this team is great. Some say the staff aren’t warm or welcoming, but I feel quite the opposite. I’m always welcomed, and Holman has caught issues with my teeth that previous dentists have missed. Moral of the story: pay the cancellation fee and continue to go to Holman. I originally was frustrated about the fee, but I can’t imagine going to another practice while I am here working on my PhD. I trust Holman and her practice so much, and her and her team are perfection.

We heard about Dr.Holman from a family friend for a tongue and lip tie. They were absolutely amazing in every way, every employee I’ve talked to has been more than helpful and extremely polite. They never made me feel pressured into the procedure and always made me feel comfortable and informed about what they would be doing. We drove an hour just to see her and it was well worth it. We are just over one week post procedure and are having amazing improvements. Highly recommend them!

Holman Family Dental Care is aces. The office is immaculately clean and inviting, and everyone there is professional and kind. Dr. Holman made me feel like family and she did phenomenal work! I honestly can’t recommend them enough.

The entire practice is wonderful. As a family we see a few different dentists in the practice. By far the best dentist experience I’ve had.
I have a lot of dental trauma from other experiences and the care at Holman Family Dental is above and beyond, not just in overall quality of dental care, but also in being patient and gentle.
My youngest has refused to let a dentist or hygienist near her mouth at other practices – it was a win to get her in the building, or even to sit in the chair. The staff here are so gentle and kind, they really pay attention and listen and she lets them do full cleanings and fluoride treatments. Amazing!!!!! She even begs to go with me to my appointments.
The practice seems to be all women, and primarily women of color, which contributes to the incredible environment. Highly highly recommend! -
After asking around for a local dental practices that specialized in dental phobia I received countless recommendations for Holman Family Dentistry. It had been nearly 15 years since my last visit to the dentist and my anxiety was at an all time high. I am so very pleased to say my appointment today with Colin and Dr. Ungaro far exceeded my expectations! They were both so very kind and helped me feel at ease throughout the consultation. I am feeling so much relief to finally have taken these steps in taking back control of my oral health. After a long road of fear and anxiety I am actually looking forward to my next visit!

Friendly, helpful, communicative staff from arrival to finish. The front desk folks are always incredibly welcoming and organized. The dental teams talk you through the process, ensure your comfort by regularly checking in, and are transparent about costs associated with procedures. Best dental office in the Triangle!

I had my visit this day, I feel very satisfied. Dr Holman took time to explain to me and my crown is perfect and he gave me instructions for my follow-up, thank you for your professionalism. I also have to thank my dental hyginist, the sweet Valeria, as well. He is a great professional, thank you for your excellent work.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Cook and all the other staff at my first (emergency) appointment. Everyone was so kind and helpful, the amount of documentation recorded in the forms of X-rays and photos was really impressive, and I’m confident that my care will be great going forward. It’s easy to see why this practice is so busy and highly recommended.
